Unless otherwise provided, any person violating any of the provisions of this title shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not to exceed $5,000 or by imprisonment in jail for a term not exceeding one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment. The amendment of any state statute adopted by reference in this title shall be deemed to amend the corresponding section of this title and it shall not be necessary for the city council to take any action with respect to such amendment. (Ord. 91-34 § 5, 1991)
