6.04.065 Animal bites.

A. It is unlawful to own a pet that bites a person while such person is on public property or lawfully on private property.

B. For the purposes of this section, the term “pet” means any animal maintained by a person or entity for the primary purpose of personal enjoyment, exhibition, companionship, or service including, but not limited to, domesticated animals, such as cats and dogs, and nondomesticated animals suitable to living in companionship with humans, such as some birds and mammals.
